Where Are They Now?

Dear Friends,

It was a pleasure coming back to BIDMC this week to speak with the residents. It seems like just yesterday that I was sitting in the Clouse conference room, listening to outstanding lectures and chatting with friends on our way to the reading rooms. It has, in fact, been over four year, and they have been busy. After finishing residency in 2008, I spent two years as a Neuroradiology Fellow at MGH (along with co-residents A.C. Kim and Jimmy Kang). I then accepted a private practice position at L&M Radiology in Northern MA, where I practice general radiology, but maintain a focus and devotion to neuroradiology. On the personal front, some of you may remember my husband Holger, whom I met during residency. We now have two children (Sylvia 2.5 and Alexander 0.7), who keep us busy and balanced, and we live just north of the city in Winchester. Our best wishes to all of you. Kinds Regards,

– Mara Kunst M.D. (1/2012)

Jacob Sosna
Jacob Sosna
"I'm truly thrilled and proud to share the very exciting news that Jacob Sosna, our abdominal imaging fellow from 2001-3 has been appointed as Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Hadassah Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Jacob was an outstanding fellow and through ongoing collaborative research efforts has maintained his close ties to our department. Jacob has continued on his trajectory ever since leaving us and for the past many years has successfully run their CT and image processing divisions. Jacob is not the only BIDMC alumnus at Hadassah: Nahum Goldberg, former head of our tumor ablation lab, and Liat Appelbaum, one of our former abdominal fellows, now run the RF ablation service at Hadassah. I know that Jacob is extremely excited about this new opportunity and together we will work to foster even closer links between us. Please join me in congratulating Jacob on this prestigious and well-deserved appointment!"
